Blue Ridge
Blue Ridge Texas is a small community that is located in Collin County. According to the latest census report there are 2,890 people that call Blue Ridge home. It is a suburban community that is rich in history and commitment to those that choose to live there. Blue Ridge is quickly growing, with many new home developments in the works. The population has nearly doubled in the last ten years.

The first settlers in Blue Ridge made the area home about 1873. The first store was built soon after. It was a one room log cabin that was located south of today's town square. 1874 brought the area's first school, also a one room log cabin. The town slowly grew and eventually, in 1936 became incorporated. At the time of incorporation, Blue Ridge had 500 residents.

Today Blue Ridge has many opportunities for people of all ages to get involved in their community. Everything from Boys and Girl Scouts, Boys and Girls Club, 4H, Service Organizations, and youth sports leagues. It is proven to be a lovely, comfortable, community active town.
