Murphy Texas is a small but quickly growing community that is located in southeastern Collin County. The history of this area dates back to the early 1900's. Murphy is directly in between the cities of Plano and Wylie. The community is actively trying to help the area grow and prosper and has many living situation and available lots to offer the new community member.

There have been several new subdivisions and developments in the Murphy area lately. The main theme of the area implies country living and they express that through area parks as well as the decoration of their homes and community buildings. Everything is as country and comfortable as you would imagine a small town to be. Your neighbors are friendly and everyone knows your name.

The current population of Murphy was 6,500 in 2002. This total has since grown, as has the area. Murphy is a quickly growing town with a theme that is sure to please many Texans.
