Oak Point

The City of Oak Point is located in the northeast section of Denton County Texas. Oak Point is proud to be located on the shores of Lake Lewisville. Lake Lewisville offers residents and visitors excellent boating, fishing, and other water activities.

Residents are allowed to enjoy a rural lifestyle, with the comfort of knowing that the big city is as close as you need it. In fact, it is just 24 miles from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and 45 minutes from downtown Dallas.

The Texas Motor Speedway and Grapevine Mills Mall are practically just around the corner as are a large number of other recreational     activities. Many of the City's residents work in locations throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. The City is served by both the Denton Independent School District and the Oak Point Independent School District.

Oak Point was incorporated in 1976 and has seen its growth more than double since 1994. Current population is approximately 2,150 residents. Oak Point offers country living at its best, from employment to schools, community to recreation, everything is awaiting you in Oak Point.
