The City of
Palmer is located 28 miles south of Dallas in Ellis County, Texas.
Palmer has a population of around 1,700 citizens. The area is known
for there strong agricultural history, as Palmer has been thriving
as farming and ranching community for many generations.
There is much to
do in downtown Palmer. The main community consists of four food
stores, four restaurants and several locally owned businesses, which
includes an area golf course. There are many parks in the area as
well and Dallas is not too far away, where there is plenty to do and
see.
Palmer offers a
strong religious community with a wide variety of church
denominations. Palmer is also proud to offer an excellent array of
educational programs and support within the Palmer Independent
School District. The Palmer ISD includes Palmer Elementary, Middle,
Intermediate and High Schools.
