Prosper texas real estate
Prosper
Prosper Texas made
its beginnings in cotton. The land was very favorable for cotton and
in the end that's what brought people into the area. In 1876 a Dr.
A. T. Bryant purchased a tract of land which eventually became known
as Prosper. From that moment much happened to create the town of
Prosper. A new railroad in 1902 linked numerous communities and
brought life into Prosper.
In 1914 Prosper was
incorporated by the government and a population of 500 residents.
The person appointed Mayor ended up serving in the position for 49
years. Things were up and down for awhile and as the 1980's moved
around the area started to grow again. Today the area is home to at
least 100 businesses.
Prosper is a small
but always growing community that is a pleasure to live or work in.
The area sees many day residents of the people that work in the area
and equally as many night residents that are home to Prosper no
matter the hour. The area has plenty of housing options for the
single businessman or the dedicated family.
